Well I gave in and found time to record myself and entered the “Blue Bug” competition put together by Milan Polak and T-Rex. As with the Blue Noize competition, I have absolutely no aspirations of winning, but what attracts me in this one is the quality of the backing track to play over. You can just crank up the reverb and put some nice distortion and really go wild on this. I used my “For the love of god” preset on my Zoom G2.1U to record this and it was just what I needed. So here it is, my first video with the sound and video recorded separately, I think it worked rather well:
