Take the 10:10 Pledge

A few days ago I’d noticed a new promotional campaign launched by the makers of The Age of Stupid. The promotion was called the 10:10 pledge and the page it sent you off to was just a video of a 747 being demolished then melted down to make 10:10 Keyrings, so I was a little confused at first.

Today after reading the latest entry from George Monbiot’s blog, it became clear that they’d opened up their website to be a little more explicit on what the campaign was all about.

Here’s a short video commissioned by the Discovery Channel showing a soda can degrading in time-warp. It takes 50 years for a can to recycle itself, and only a few seconds for you to recycle it. Think about it!
