Children in Gaelic Medium Education have better literacy skills than their peers
Following my latest reshare in this collection this article yet again outlines the benefits of multilingualism and more specifically here in Scotland in Gaelic Medium Education schools.
Of course this isn't an absolute fact, different kids will learn differently and at different paces but my daughter who goes to a GME school is already doing pretty well at reading and writing 2 languages. And believe me, Gaelic isn't the easiest language to learn to read and write.
