My current Android phone is now 3 years old. It's been out of warranty for about a year and it's showing frustrating signs of decline in performance with random reboots and battery draining quickly from 40%. Add to this that never upgraded it to Marshmallow and I find myself with something that's in dire need of replacement. I've never rooted this phone but given its hardware issues I doubt it's worth the bother.
So I've been looking at getting something new and this is what I think I need as the main features:
– Android (obviously)
– price below £400 preferably
– decent camera
– 3GB RAM minimum
– 32GB internal storage (expandable)
– reliable battery
– NFC enabled
Some nice to have include
– wireless or magnetic charging
Now because I'm looking at mid range budget phones (I'd love a LG G6 for instance but I'm not spending £650 on a phone) I'll have to make sacrifices. I could perhaps go with another Xperia but frankly I don't really trust the brand at the moment so the two models I'm looking at are the Moto G5 plus and the Oneplus 3t. The Nokia 6 was another one I was thinking about but it's not out yet and the reviews I saw seem to think the camera is a bit meh…
Any other recommendations for models I should look at based on the above?
