Ugh, this morning I pretty much decided I would try to record something tonight as it’s been a while since I’d done an audio-only recording and after last week’s lesson, I was feeling inspired to record something with a limited number of notes played with better phrasing. The good news is I managed to do some recording, the bad news, is I can’t say I’ve recorded anything terribly listenable.

I first started with bluesjamtracks.com’s Satch song called “Satch Dreams”. It’s slow, easy to follow, and pretty much in Bm. Trouble is, it’s very slow, and even when focusing on phrasing, I just couldn’t manage to record anything terribly interesting. I tried. 3 times, but none of the recordings are good enough to be uploaded. Not that the one I ended up doing is much better.

I switched to an Am backing track with a faster tempo, though not quite the sort of thing I was looking for. Still I took the plunge and put in on-line, if you don’t mind what’s potentially 4+ minutes of cringing, have a listen below:
