Happy Birthday to meee, yeah ok so no one cares about that

So after Paris we went off on a car trip to the west of Caen to find Norman pottery and other local artifacts (not on a trench, no). Here’s the sign of us re-entering Calvados (sober)

Fast forward 3 days (I did say there wouldn’t always be one… okay I said I would try) and we’re in Paris strolling along the river Seine after spending most of the day in museums.

Now this shot is quite special to those who know what I mean, if you don’t, well don’t worry

Walking along the promenade at the end of Sword Beach in St Aubin, two things surprised me:
- The mostly empty houses on the right, probably owned mostly by rich Parisians who only come here during the summer
- The alphabeticised flags of the EU countries on the left, which I though was neat

And don’t be fooled by the clouds, there was actually a big storm further south (right on the photo)
