This is my collection of books to learn Japanese. The bottom ones are in French, the top ones in English. As you can see, I’m trying to keep it to an entertaining level, so I try to avoid all those books meant for business people:
Note that the bottom right one was purchased in 1997. Not the greatest by any means but it did help me get started. After all these years, it’s like guitar, I’m still really rubbish at it

We’re still working towards setting up our bit of garden so today before it started raining, we planted some bulbs out in the flowerbed. Hopefully the light rain that followed will have given them enough water to help them germinate.
We also sowed new flowers to be planted out later and transplanted some seedlings that have been growing on our windowsills for a few weeks. I had forgotten how nice tomato plants smell. That reminded me on my childhood days when we used to run around my grandfather’s vegetable patch 
Anyway, the following are bell peppers seedlings, which have been doing pretty well so far and which I really hope will produce some nice stuff eventually:
